Spiritual Warfare- Key Passage

SPIRITUAL WARFARE – KEY PASSAGE – EPH 6:10-18The Armor of God ¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹ Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ¹³ Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, ¹⁵ and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷ Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. ¹⁸ And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

WHO ARE YOU? (IDENTITY OF THE BELIEVER)–

child of god, adopted son of god – (John 1:12)

WHERE ARE YOU? Eph 2:6 – Seated with Christ in the

KEY PRAYER VERSE – STAND ON PROMISES 1st John 5:14-15-

1) if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. if we 2) if know hears us, know that we receive what we ask for

* MYSTERY BOX – way and timing

3) Our job is to pray – his job to answer – don’t mix up jobs

FREEDOM – God desires us to be ABSOLUTELY FREE

When we talk about good vs evil and prayer, must talk about

1) sin

2) forgiveness

3) power of the blood to forgive sin

4) how to be blameless and pure by the blood of Jesus

5) how to take authority over sin and the devil

GOD WANTS US FREE OF SIN AND IT’S ASSOCIATED DISORDERS, AND IN JESUS NAME WE WILL BE FREE BY THE WORD OF GOD AND PRAYER

BECAUSE? – reason Son of God appeared was to

1) destroy the devil (hebrews 2:14)

2) destroy the devil’s work (I John 3:8)

REMINDER – WE MUST KNOW OURSELVES

Apart from god we have no good thing (ps 16:2 and Jn 15:5)

We were adopted as sons and lavished with love (Eph 1:5)

Choose us before creation to be holy / blameless (Eph 1:4)

Gave us everything we need for life / godliness (I Peter 1:3)

We his designated ambassadors / representatives (2 Cor 5:20)

WE MUST KNOW OUR ENEMY

The devil and evil spirits (fallen angels) (Eph 6:10-18)

Know that they are defeated (Col 2:15)

We have been given power over them (Luke 10:19)

He is under the feet of Jesus (Eph 1:18-20)

He is under our feet (Eph 2:6

* Satan is more afraid of you than you should be afraid him

WE MUST KNOW OUR GOD

1) There is power in the name of Jesus (Phil 2:9-11)

2) There is power in the blood of Jesus (Eph 1:7)

3) There is power in the cross of Jesus (Col 2:15)

4) There is power in the authority of Jesus (Matt 28:19-20)

5) Jesus God and has defeated Devil (Col 2:15, Eph 1:18-23)

6) Jesus came to destroy the devils work (I John 3:8)

7) The work was finished on the cross (John 19:30)

WE MUST KNOW WE HAVE THE VICTORY

1) Satan’s power broken at cross, but his activity not ceased

2) Victory at cross. However, co-labor w/Jesus enforce victory

3) Jesus said, It is finished; however, still are skirmishes
